Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

“Mindfulness provides a simple but powerful route for getting ourselves unstuck, back into touch with our own wisdom and vitality. The MBSR program consists of eight weekly classes and one all-day class (held on a Saturday). Classes include: - Individual interview with each class participant – Mindfulness meditation practices

of mindfulness – Readings, logs, and CD recordings to support

each aspect of the participantʼs home practice

Join the community through meditation

Hello Meditators of South Florida. Mark your calendars! On Saturday, July 23rd, from 5:00pm-6:00pm, there will be a public meditation (a Meditation Mob) near downtown West Palm Beach. It will take place on the plaza in CityPlace – in front of the fountains. Please tell everyone you know who would like to experience the benefits of meditation.

The intention of this movement, called MedMob, is to expose the world to meditation and create a global community of people from all walks of life coming together to create and expand positivity.
MedMob started in Austin, in January, with 60 people meditating at the Texas State Capitol and now it is a world-wide movement with monthly meditations, some cities having over 250 people.

Goto our local MedMob page to keep up on this and future events: https://www.facebook.com/pages/MedMob-Palm-Beach-FL-USA/113410438749581?sk=wall

Be Kind to Your Mother

Remember the kindness of your mother?

The love and kindness shown us by our mother in this life would be difficult to repay. She endured many sleepless nights to care for us when we were helpless infants. She fed us and would have willingly sacrificed everything, including her own life, to spare ours.
- H.H. Dalai Lama

Show her how much you appreciate her kindness with a gift she’ll love…

Let her choose how to use her gift to luxuriate in a soothing massage, stretch her way in to shape with Active Isolated Stretching(AIS), calm her frayed nerves with Craniosacral Therapy, enjoy a private yoga session or be present in a private meditation session.

Here is Christine Carpenter’s perspective of the conference after taking my MBSR Yoga class.
This is very touching how this conference affects people.

Love After Love

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

-Derek Walcott

On Channel 5, Kimberly tells us what Yoga Day is all about – coming together, union. Eric is doing Active Isolated Stretching on Therese Abair in the ShadeTree Yoga and Wellness Tent.

Even though it was windy and cold, your smiles warmed us up and out came the sun.  We have so much gratitude for all of you who shared in the joy with us at Yoga Day.

Smile Power!
