Participants may improve their health and begin to enjoy life more fully
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (M.B.S.R.) is an evidence-based program designed to teach people methods of dealing with a wide range of conditions, including illness, chronic pain, or stress from their busy lives, how to take better care of themselves. We put emphasis on Mindfulness, which simply means paying attention in a non-judgmental way to each moment, fosters a practical way to apply these methods in everyday life.
The course includes:
- individual interview with each class participant
- intensive training in relaxation techniques
- gentle yoga-based stretching and energy medicine techniques
- lectures in various aspects of health and wellness
- supportive group discussions
- readings, logs, and CD recordings to support each aspect of the participant’s home practice
